The Yamaha Crankcase Bolt for Models G20 and G21 is one of those parts you will not get very far without. This specific bolt is one of several that hold the cover on the crankcase. This is crucial because the crankcase must maintain pressure to run the fuel system. The Fuel pump itself is run off of the crankcase's pressure.It is a match made in heaven. The pump needs to flex its diaphragm to draw fuel from the tank and send that fuel to the carb. This is the exact pressure condition the crankcase creates as the shaft turns. You get an in and out push and draw effect at a shallow pressure that is perfect for what we need it to do. Now, if even one bolt is missing, that pressure can change and not allow any gas to get to the engine.
